Here are the top three stories in Birmingham today:

  1. As of Sunday evening, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency was still searching for Brayden Butler, a 17-year-old who was last seen on Jun. 11. According to the Emergency Missing Child Alert issued for Butler, he was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, blue and orange t-shirt, and blue jeans. Birmingham police said he may be traveling in a 2018 Nissan Altima with Louisiana license plate 6123FBZ. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Birmingham police at 205-328-9311 or 911. (AL.com)
  2. On Saturday, Birmingham residents gathered at Kelly Ingram Park to join the hundreds of other "March for Our Lives" rallies across the country. The mass shootings in recent months inspired dozens of people in Birmingham to take action and call for an end to gun violence. "We're just hoping to have our legislators to listen to us and we're just trying to have some policy change," said Birmingham March for Our Lives organizer Madelyn Cantu. (Alabama's News Leader)
  3. Birmingham City Schools will be offering free meals to local students through the summer with its Summer Food Service Program. Officials say staff will prepare meals at different school locations beginning today (Jun. 13) through Jul. 22. Students of the Sensational Summer Learning program will be able to take advantage of the free lunches on-site through Jul 8. Those who are not enrolled in summer learning will be able to pick up meals between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. at 41 different schools. (WBRC)
