Suspect Sought In West Birmingham Robbery

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A robbery Feb. 26 in west Birmingham has police searching for a person of interest seen on security footage after the crime. The incident occurred in the parking lot of a Citgo gas station on Lomb Ave.

"The investigation indicates the victim was at the location and had car trouble," Officer Truman Fitzgerald said. "The suspect then offered to assist the victim. The suspect then struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and took the victim’s cell phone. The suspect then fled the scene on foot."
