Texaco Station Robbery In East Birmingham: Suspect Sought

Birmingham police are trying to identify a man they say robbed a Texaco station in east Birmingham Sunday.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A Texaco station in east Birmingham was robbed Sunday night, and Birmingham police are trying to identify a man seen on security cameras during the crime. The incident occurred just after 9:30 p.m. at 5901 1st Avenue North.

Police say an unknown Black man entered the business demanding money and made threats to harm the clerk. The suspect stole merchandise and then left the scene in a silver SUV, according to Officer Truman Fitzgerald of the Birmingham Police Department.
