Here are the top three stories today in Birmingham:

  1. The Birmingham mayor's office has announced it will be holding a town hall to address flash flooding and stormwater management throughout the city. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting this Thursday, Apr. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Boutwell Auditorium. Those that will be in attendance include officials from the Departments of Public Works, Transportation, Stormwater Management as well as Planning, Engineering, and Permits. (WBRC)
  2. Birmingham police are asking for the public's help in its search for a missing 13-year-old boy. According to the Birmingham Police Department, Adrian Lloyd, 13, was last seen in the 2000 block of 18th Street SW in Birmingham at 2:40 p.m. Sunday wearing blue jeans, red shoes, and a red short sleeve shirt with the word “Alabama” on it. Lloyd apparently has a history of running away before and "suffers from a mental condition that affects both his judgment and behavior." See the article for full details. (WIAT - CBS42.com)
  3. Century Complete has expanded into the Birmingham market and recently broke ground on a new community in the North Birmingham area. The new community will be called Westchester located near Cherry Avenue and UW Clemon Place just north of Daniel Payne Drive. These homes will be starting in the mid-$200s with various floor plans to choose from. (Subscription: The Business Journals)
