Woman Found Dead Outside Children's Hospital Identified

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A woman was found dead outside of Children's of Alabama Thursday morning. The body was discovered just before 7 a.m. near a parking deck behind the hospital in the 1600 block of 7th Avenue South.

Sgt. Rod Mauldin of the Birmingham Police Department said detectives have confirmed foul play was not involved in the woman's death.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office Friday said the woman, identified as 21-year-old Katherine Anastasia Juarez, died after she fell from the parking deck and suffered blunt force trauma.
