2 Suspects Identified In Home Depot Theft

Two out of three suspects in a July 7 theft at Home Depot in Hoover have been identified and are being sought by Hoover police.

HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department received tips from the public that led to the identification of two of the three suspects accused of theft at a Home Depot July 7. The suspects have been identified as Brittany Michelle Cooks, 27, and Shanna Denise Stroud, 29, both of Montgomery.

According to employees, the three worked together, selected more than $500 in merchandise, passed the last point of sale without attempting to pay, and then exited the store.

When employees approached the individuals, they ran to a gray Hyundai sedan and fled the scene, police said.
