Here are the top three stories today in Hoover:

  1. Two women were found with fatal gunshot wounds in a Hoover apartment. The two bodies were located at The Park apartment complex off Lorna Road shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The women were pronounced dead at the scene by Hoover Fire medics. The investigation is currently in its early stages. (Subscription: AL.com)
  2. The Hoover High School football team is at the top of the Region Three standings. Hoover won 40-0 against Oak Mountain on Friday night. The only other unbeaten team in Region Three is Thompson. (1819News)
  3. The City of Hoover will be hosting the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 29. The ceremony, considered the official start of the city's holiday season, will be held at Hoover City Hall on Municipal Lane at 5:00 p.m. There will be live musical performances, light refreshments, and an appearance by Santa.
