- Additional charges have been filed against the individual that allegedly shot a Hoover Police Department officer. Evan Rashad Lucas, 31 years old, has also been charged with three counts of attempted murder for shooting at a family on I-459. His bond has been set at $2.5 million. (AL.com)
- The Hoover Police Department is searching for two individuals that allegedly shoplifted merchandise from a local business. According to the department, the incident occurred on Oct. 9 and over $1,000 worth of merchandise was stolen. Anyone with information about the two individuals is asked to contact the department. - Tonight, Hoover football will be playing against Thompson for the region championship. The game starts at 7:00 p.m. at Warriors Stadium. Hoover is ranked second and Thompson is ranked first by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. Both teams are relying on their defenses to determine the outcome. (AL.com)
