Arrest Made In Traffic Fatality That Killed 2 Children
A man has been arrested and charged with murder in a traffic fatality in September of 2020 that killed two children in Hoover.

HOOVER, AL — More than a year after the deaths of 11-year-old Emrhye Prude and 8-year-old Serris Prude in a crash in Hoover, the man charged with murder in the children's deaths has been arrested.
The US Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 46-year-old Christopher Shane Anagnos in Mexico Wednesday.
Anagnos was driving a GMC truck on Highway 31 in front of Hoover Square Sept. 10, 2020, when he struck the Prude family's Honda Fit from behind, police said. The Honda was then propelled into the back of a Lexus, which in turn hit a Ford truck from behind.

Hoover police said they determined that Anagnos was under the influence of multiple controlled substances and was texting while driving at the time of the crash.

Anagnos has been extradited to the United States and is currently in Texas. He will be extradited to Alabama at a later date according to Hoover police. He has been charged with two counts of murder and his bond is set at $300,000.
