Here are the top four stories in Hoover today:
- A road rage shooting led to Highway 280 being shut down on the morning of Sep. 22. Two men were involved in an altercation near the 5300 block of Highway 280. Eventually the argument led to one man pulling a gun and firing shots at the other man's car. No injuries were reported as a result of the shooting. The suspect left the scene. Police are still investigating the incident.(WBRC)

- The annual Birmingham Bash Soccer Tournament has returned to Hoover, and will take place Sep. 23 to 25. Nearly 400 teams are scheduled to play during the tournament. There will be more than 1,200 games throughout the three-day event featuring boys and girls teams from U-9 to U-19.Games will be played at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex, Dunnavant Valley Fields, Heardmont Park, Veterans Park in Alabaster, Eagle Sports in Calera, and several more.
