Here are the top three stories in Hoover today:

  1. Hoover High School won the region title against Thompson, a higher-ranking team in the division, in a 9-0 shutout. The team will head to the Region 3 Championship in two weeks. The Bucs are winners of their last nine games this season with a strong defense going forward. The last shutout the team had against Thompson was six years ago. (Hoover Sun)
  2. Whiskey Foxtrot Burger Dive in Hoover ranked number seven on TravelAwaits’ most recent delicious comfort food list. The recently-opened local dive is owned by two brothers and offers gourmet hamburger and hot dog options. Patrons can choose from over 10 American Wagyu beef entrées or build their own creations.   3. Hoover’s population has increased by over one percent annually, making it one of Alabama’s largest cities. According to World Atlas, Hoover is the sixth largest city in Alabama with a population of just under 100,000.
