Here are the top three stories today in Hoover:
- On Friday night, Hoover High School's football team bested Hewitt-Trussville, one of the state's fastest and highest-scoring teams. The sixth-ranked Hoover Buccaneers used their strong defense to defeat the fifth-ranked Huskies 17-7 at Hewitt-Trussville Stadium. Next up, the Bucs will travel to Mountain Brook for a non-region matchup. (AL.com)
- Alabama Goods announced plans to expand into Hoover next summer. The well-known Alabama-made specialty store will open its third shop in the state — this one on the corner of John Hawkins Parkway and Stadium Trace. In addition to the Alabama Goods shop, the area is also expected to house two restaurants and a retail store. (Bham Now)
