Chamber Of Commerce Golf Tournament Moved To Calera

Due to flooding damage at Riverchase Country Club, the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce has moved its annual golf tournament to Timberline.

HOOVER, AL — The annual Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce golf tournament has been moved from Riverchase Country Club to Timberline Golf Club in Calera. The tournament was moved due to flood damage at Riverchase, according to a Hoover Sun report.

The original date for the tournament was Oct. 11, but with the damage from severe flash floods in the area making the course at Riverchase unplayable, a new date had to be arranged at the course, but scheduling conflicts prevented the tournament from taking place at RCC, according to officials with the Chamber.

The tournament will take place Tuesday at Timberline, and check-in for the tournament is scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
