  1. The Hoover Police Department reports it is seeing a decrease in car break-ins and stolen guns. Despite the decrease, there is still a significant amount of car break-ins. This year, there have been 249 car break-ins in Hoover. There have also been 19 stolen guns this year - significantly lower than last year's 48. (WBRC)
  2. Four Hoover girls will be competing in Miss Alabama and Miss Alabama's Outstanding Teen competitions next year. The girls are part of the "Rising Stars" program, which gives girls the chance to be mentored by older girls while learning about scholarship competitions. (Hoover Sun)
  3. The Jefferson County Board of Registrars is splitting two Hoover polling locations. The split is due to a large number of people voting at one location. The split sites will be the Hoover Recreation Center and Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Hopefully, the split will reduce wait times for voting. The General Election is on Nov. 8. (Hoover Sun)
