  1. The Hoover Police Department is asking locals to help them find a group of individuals wanted for questioning in a felony shoplifting case. The group of four collectively took over $5,000 worth of merchandise from a local business, then left the store without attempting to pay.   2. Central Alabama is deep into fall, and there are plenty of fun events throughout the area that you won't want to miss out on. Birmingham will be holding its Trunk or Treat and Alpha Charlie Car Show on Oct. 29. For those who'd prefer to enjoy a fall festival or Halloween celebration a little closer to home, there's the Simmons Community Fall Festival on Oct. 28 and the Trunk or Treat Fall Festival at the Children's Lighthouse on Oct. 29.   3. On Nov. 8, the Hope for Autumn Foundation will be holding its annual Swing for Hope golf tournament. The event will take place at the Robert Trent Jones Oxmoor Valley golf course.
