  1. The Hoover Helps nonprofit will be hosting its third Ho Ho Hoover-Randle Open House Fundraiser on Sunday, Dec. 4. The nonprofit provides food and clothing for local children in need. The fundraising event will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens. The event will include a silent auction, holiday-themed entertainment, Christmas tree decorating, and more. (Hoover Sun via Facebook)
  2. A Hoover man has been arrested for hitting a police officer during a chase. Levi Bowman, 23 years old, allegedly stole the vehicle from Trussville on Tuesday morning. Springville Chief Wayne Walton reports the injured officer was not seriously wounded and is doing well. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
  3. The City of Hoover reports employees who were overpaid during recent payroll issues will be returning the money in installments. According to the city, more than 100 employees were overpaid in excess of $100,000. The issues occurred through several pay periods. The majority of the employees who were overpaid reported it to the city. (WBRC)
