- The Hoover Public Library will be hosting its popular after-hours Top Shelf program on Oct. 23 at 6:00 p.m. This event's theme will be Spooktacular Potions & Cocktails. Participants will learn about mixing delicious drinks along with the history behind certain liquors. Certified Specialist of Spirits Anne Born will be leading the program. To participate, individuals must be 21 years or older. (City of Hoover)
- The Hoover Belles has opened applications for its 2023 class. To qualify, a young lady must have at least a GPA of 2.5, exhibit exemplary character, and be in their Sophomore year of high school. - The Dino & Dragon Stroll will be at Hoover Metropolitan Complex on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6. The times vary depending on tickets. This exciting event will allow participants to encounter life-sized dinosaur animatronics while enjoying family-friendly dinosaur-themed activities. Tickets are $29.
