  1. Birmingham MAX Transit buses are reportedly experiencing significant delays and cancelations. The issues are being blamed on worker shortages and the flu. The Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority has received millions in federal funding to restore transit routes that were eliminated or reduced during the COVID-19 pandemic.   2. Hoover Football lost in the Class 7A semifinals on Friday night. Hoover lost to Thompson with a final score of 40-10. Thompson will now go on to play Auburn. Hoover has ended its season 11-2 overall. (Alabama News)
  3. A Hoover 12-year-old is collecting money to purchase pillows for foster children. Lucy Helland, a sixth grader at Hoover's Bumpus Middle School, has almost collected 600 pillows this year for Garrett's Place, a Bessemer non-profit that supports foster children.
