  1. The City of Hoover will be closed on Monday in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Offices will be closed on Jan. 16 and will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Monday night's City Council meeting has been rescheduled until Tuesday. (City of Hoover)
  2. The Hoover YMCA will soon be opening up registration for its youth enrichment programs. Registration for Winter Session 2 will open on Jan. 23 with options for Tiny Tots Basketball (for ages three to six) and Food and Fun (for ages seven to 10).   3. On Tuesday, the Hoover City Council will vote on a $60 million to $90 million bond issue. The funds are intended for a new interstate interchange, a performing arts center, and other capital projects. According to Councilman Curt Posey, chairman of the finance committee, council members haven't determined how much money they want to borrow or how they want to use it. (Hoover Sun)

  • Last week, Detective Chambless, Officer Jetton, and K-9 Crash visited students at Ardent Preschool and Daycare of Trace Crossings!
