Hoover PD Wearing Pink Badges For Breast Cancer Awareness Month
It's October, and Chief Derzis has once again authorized Hoover Police Officers to add pink badges to their uniforms.

HOOVER, AL — To observe Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Hoover police officers will don pink badges throughout the month.
"This is something our Officers and this Department really embrace," Chief Nick Derzis said. "We hope by wearing pink badges, we can bring awareness to this disease. It affects so many women and men. We just want those families to know: we’re all in this together."
In addition to the badges, the Hoover Police Department will also have pink decals on all of its patrol Tahoes.
