- Police are searching for the second suspect in the shooting deaths of two women in Hoover. 20-year-old An'ton Je'horam has been charged with capital murder for the deaths of 39-year-old Lauren White and 24-year-old Blakely Nelson. They were both found dead on Oct. 1 inside a Hoover apartment located at The Park. Lewis is also wanted for two warrants for a parole violation related to a series of bank robberies he committed back in 2019. (AL.com)
- The post office facility in Hoover has been temporarily closed due to safety concerns. The Bluff Park Finance Station, which is located at Shades Mountain Plaza, was suddenly shut down on Wednesday. Officials did not specify what the safety concern was, but the post office is still closed as the investigation continues. Local mail delivery from the USPS will not be impacted by the closure.
