  1. Hoover City Schools (HCS) is in need of bus drivers. HCS is looking to hire bus drivers to work either a morning or afternoon route — half-route options are also available.   2. Yesterday, Jan. 11, the Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force sponsored the ninth annual Alabama Human Trafficking Awareness Day. The day, which aligns with the national observation, is intended to build awareness to the criminal activity that occurs frequently in Alabama. Hoover, among many other municipalities across the state, is declared a Trafficking Free Zone. (Yellowhammer News)
  3. On Tuesday, Hoover City Council approved a plan outlining how the new I-459 interchange will be built. The new interchange, which will be called Exit 9, will be built south of the South Shades Crest road overpass. Next, the agreement must be signed by the Alabama Department of Transportation and Gov.
