CHILTON COUNTY, AL — Just a week after hundreds of FedEx packages were discovered in a ravine in Blount County, more discarded packages were found in a wooded area in Chilton County. The discovery was made near Jemison alongside County Road 166, according to AL.com.

Jemison Police Chief Shane Fulmer told AL.com that 20 or more packages were tossed on the roadside with shipping addresses on County Roads 166, 48, 51, 164, 42, 29, 43, 936, and North Dakota Road.

More than 400 packages were found discarded in a ravine in Blount County last Wednesday. The driver of the truck that contained those packages has been identified by the company, according to law enforcement.

"There have been many questions coming in, mainly from media, regarding the FedEx debacle," Blount County Sheriff Mark Moon said in a statement Monday. "Investigators have been speaking to FedEx security personnel and the driver has been identified and questioned. More to come, please be patient as we are currently getting into all the details. All the information that we can share will be shared when we can share it."

Fulmer said FedEx has been contacted regarding the packages found in Chilton County, and the packages appear to have come out of the Bessemer FedEx terminal.
