  1. For a rocking good time, head to the 17th annual Moss Rock Festival at the Hoover Metropolitan Complex. The event, which will be held on Nov. 5 and Nov. 6, is a nature-themed festival that celebrates local artists and the natural beauty of Hoover. There will also be the 11th annual Beer Garden, which showcases local breweries and wineries. Tickets for both are available at the link. (Alabama NewsCenter)

  3. The Hoover Police Department was part of a task force that brought down a sex ring targeting minors. The West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force — which includes members of the Hoover PD — arrested six men in an undercover sex sting operation in west Alabama.
