- The Hoover area has new open houses to explore this weekend. Whether you're looking for a luxury residence or a modest single-family home, the Hoover real estate market invites you to explore open houses this weekend and discover a home that fits your taste. Among the homes available and open for visitors is a five-bed, five-bath home for $1.7 million and a three-bed, three-bath house for $340,000. (Hoover Patch)
- The Alabama High School Athletic Association’s (AHSAA) Central Board of Control denied the appeal from Adam Moseley. Moseley was one of the USA Baseball Under 18 National Team coaches. According to an AHSAA bylaw, a coach in any sport cannot coach one of his players in competition outside of the season during the school year. The roster for the USA Baseball team included one of Moseley’s Hoover players, and since the games took place in September, a violation took place. (AL.com)
- On Tuesday night, the Hoover City Council rezoned the Hare Farm in Bluff Park. The Hare Farm, which was classified as an R-1 residential zone, was rezoned as a planned residential district. In the future, it will be used primarily as an event venue. (Hoover Sun)

- Congratulations to Serena Agrawal, the first-place winner of the Hoover City Schools 2023 District Spelling Bee! Agrawal is an eighth-grade student at R. F. Bumpus Middle School.
