Here are the top 3 stories today in Hoover:
- Hoover residents should be advised of possible severe weather nearby this Thursday. - The Greater Birmingham Humane Society is giving out Valentine's Day e-cards to raise money for the shelter. You can send someone special a personalized GBHS Valentine with a cat or dog theme this Valentine's Day for a $25 donation. The cards will be emailed or texted to your loved one on Valentine's Day. - According to reports from local lice centers, lice is spreading rapidly throughout Central Alabama. According to John Powell, president and owner of The Lice Place, children may be exposed to what he terms "super lice," or lice that are more resistant to over-the-counter treatments. Parents should start checking their child's heads to help prevent the spread. According to Casey Pylant, the owner of Lice Clinics of Birmingham, children from Mountain Brook and Crestline have come in for treatment. (WBRC)
