Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Set For Saturday: What To Know

Hoover residents can drop off unused or expired prescription medications Saturday during National Drug Take Back Day.

HOOVER, AL — The Hoover Police Department is partnering again with the Drug Enforcement Agency for National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day Saturday. Residents can drop off their unused and expired medications at Hoover City Hall.

The event lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the service is free and anonymous, no questions asked. Hoover police said over-the-counter drugs will also be accepted, but needles will not.

Participants are asked to remain in their vehicles and wait for officers' assistance.
