Here are the top four stories in Hoover today:

  1. The Hoover area has some beautiful places to live - and now you can take a look at some of the newest houses on the market!   2. There's plenty to do in and around Hoover this weekend, even if we may be in for some nasty weather! Vintage Market Days is selling its wares, from classic jewelry to stunning clothes.   3. Hurricane Ian evacuees have additional places to weather out the impending storm throughout Hoover and Alabama. The Hoover Met Complex has already announced that it will be offering its entire RV parking lot to those who have been displaced by Ian. Additionally, the state of Georgia is now waiving fees on campgrounds and welcoming families who have been forced to evacuate. Although Ian has been downgraded to a tropical storm, it is still severe, and people are being urged to exercise extreme caution. (Alabama's News Leader)
  4. The 17th annual Shop Save & Share Kickoff made a big impact on Wednesday. Hosted by the Junior League of Birmingham, the event was held just outside of Hoover and featured lots of support from the community as a whole. Visitors were invited to purchase a Shop Save & Share card at a discount and to enjoy a variety of foods, drinks, giveaways, and swag. 100% of the proceeds go directly to help support the 29 community projects the Junior League is currently working on.
