  1. The Hoover Police Department has identified a suspect allegedly responsible for four residential burglaries. The incidents occurred between Sept. 9 and Oct. 8 in the Greystone area. Rodrigo Ignacio Rivera Lienan is currently incarcerated in Williamson County, TN, for similar crimes. He will be facing extradition to Alabama after his Tennessee cases are adjudicated.   2. Two Hoover residents have been elected to the Alabama Legislature. Hoover's Mike Shaw and Susan DuBose will be representing Districts 47 and 45, respectively. Shaw and DuBose are Republicans. Click the link for additional election results. (Hoover Sun)
  3. Hoover City Schools reports students scored remarkably well in a recent study on education recovery conducted by researchers at Stanford and Harvard. The district gained a lot of traction with certain demographics, such as students experiencing poverty and minority groups. The district expressed optimism that it can post even more improvements in the future. (WBRC)
