Robbery Suspect Found After Search By Hoover, Vestavia Police
A search for a suspect in a robbery at the Galleria Woods Chevron ended when he was finally taken into custody Tuesday morning.
HOOVER, AL — Multiple law enforcement agencies joined in on a search Tuesday morning for an armed robbery suspect in the woods near I-65 and Lakeshore Parkway. The robbery occurred just before 3 a.m. at the Galleria Woods Chevron on John Hawkins Parkway.
Lt. Keith Czeskleba of the Hoover Police Department said the suspect, identified as Henry Sirnard Russell, fled the scene and was spotted by Vestavia police.
"Vestavia PD located the suspect vehicle and attempted to stop it," Czeskleba said. "The suspect refused to stop and abandoned the vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex near Highway 31 and I-65."

After an extended search for the suspect, Russell was found near Royal Automotive in Vestavia, and was taken into custody at 6:20 Tuesday morning.
Czeskleba said Russell is charged with robbery and certain persons forbidden to possess a pistol. He was taken to Jefferson County Jail where he is being held on $75,000 bond.
