- Hoover's football team will be advancing to the Class 7A semifinals after defeating Hewitt-Trussville. The game's final score was 28-11. Hoover will be playing Thompson in the semifinal round. This is the fourth consecutive season Hoover and Thompson have played against each other in the Class 7A semifinals. (1819 News)
- The Jefferson County Commission will be sworn in on Wednesday, Nov. 16. The ceremony will be held on the second floor of the downtown County Courthouse at 10:00 a.m. There will be a brief meeting after the swearing-in ceremony. The county will be streaming the meeting through its social media accounts. (Jefferson County)
- The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for Jefferson County. The warning was issued for last night and remains in effect through 9:00 a.m. this morning. The freezing temperatures have the potential to kill vulnerable vegetation and burst exposed outdoor piping. (NWS Birmingham)
