• ‘We've been looking for 47 years:' Alabama woman ramps up search for former foster child (whnt.com) — A Madison County family is renewing a decades-long search for a former foster baby who was born at Huntsville Hospital in 1978 and later adopted in South Alabama. After a recent cancer diagnosis, foster mom Terry Nayman shared the story and details on Facebook, where thousands of people across Alabama are helping her try to reconnect, hoping at least to learn that the woman is safe and happy.
   

• Huntsville Police Bomb Squad responds to suspicious device found at Hartselle woman's home (waff.com) — Huntsville residents should know the city’s Police Bomb Squad was called to Hartselle after a woman found shotgun shells taped together beside her car Friday night. Hartselle Police and Huntsville’s bomb team secured the suspicious device and removed it, and investigators say they have a suspect in mind but have not yet released a name or made any arrests.
   

• Arab teen killed in Marshall County wreck identified, school releases statement (waff.com) — A Marshall County teen from Arab died after being airlifted to Huntsville Hospital following a car crash near Cranford Road and Freeport Lane. The Brindlee Mountain High School eighth-grader later succumbed to his injuries, and state troopers are still investigating the wreck. Local families may see increased law enforcement presence as the probe continues.
