Huntsville Police, Sons of the American Revolution award life‑saving medals for heroic acts (waff.com) — Huntsville police are honoring Officer Glazier and two residents with Life-Saving Medals after their quick actions saved a toddler from drowning and a shooting victim on Slaughter Road. The trio performed CPR, flagged down first responders, and provided critical medical aid that helped both victims survive until ambulances arrived, highlighting everyday heroism in the community.
   

4. Longtime members of Madison Hospital Wellness Center disappointed over closure announcement (whnt.com) — Huntsville Hospital will close the Madison Hospital Wellness Center on January 4, 2026, converting it into an outpatient imaging facility. Longtime members who rely on its evening water aerobics and social support worry about losing critical help for diabetes, chronic pain, and community connection, though the Jones Valley Wellness Center will remain open.
