  1. On Wednesday, a Mobile tow truck owner who allegedly partook in "predatory towing" practices was charged with lying on a bankruptcy filing and defrauding a COVID-19 program. Michael Cazzie Sellers Sr., 46, was indicted by a federal grand jury on six counts of making false statements on a bankruptcy petition and eight counts of wire fraud. His trial date is set for March and, if convicted, he faces a maximum of 30 years in prison. (Fox 10 News)
  2. A Mobile County teacher is using social media to teach lessons and help students both inside and outside of the classroom. Carey Arensberg, a fourth-grade teacher in Mobile County and certified trauma and resilience practitioner, has over 450,000 followers and 7.3 million likes on TikTok. She has been using the platform to "share trauma-informed teaching practices" which help others, including teachers, to understand the needs of children who have experienced traumatic backgrounds and provide them with the right care in classrooms.   3. On Wednesday night, a man allegedly busted out his ex-girlfriend's windows at her home and threatened to kill her, police said. According to a release from the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of Clover Leaf for a report of shots fired and found 31-year-old Jodecy Rocker after "canvassing the area." Rocker has been charged with domestic violence and criminal mischief. At the time of this writing, the shots fired are still being investigated. (WKRG News 5)

  • Storm damage has been confirmed in Movico, northeastern Mobile County, near US 43, and Cedar Creek Landing Road. Damage includes possible mobile home damage, structures with missing roofs, vehicle damage, debris blocking roads, and power lines down (poles snapped). (NBC 15 WPMI)
  • An RV fire blocked three travel lanes and the righthand shoulder near Exit 17 to Rangeline Road in Mobile County. (Fox 10 News)
