Marine scientists are tracking conditions in Mobile Bay and Mississippi Sound and using Deepwater Horizon settlement funds to restore struggling local oyster reefs.

Criminals 'Jingle' all the way to jail after Mobile Police operation (wkrg.com) — Mobile police wrapped up a months-long “DIP Jingle” operation targeting drug activity along Dauphin Island Parkway, leading to 32 arrests and the seizure of guns, cash, and vehicles. Officers executed 12 searches, including near a Government Boulevard gas station and a Brooke Street home by an elementary school, removing an estimated $227,000 in drugs from local streets.
