- The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is looking for a woman who scammed Walmart out of $1,800. According to a Facebook post from the MCSO, a video was captured showing the woman entering the 7855 Moffett Road Walmart location and telling a “new” cashier she was part of the human resources department and needed change. The woman walked away with $1,800 in cash, and deputies said the cashier was left with $125. Anybody who has information related to the incident is asked to call the MCSO at 251-574-8633 or go to the MCSO website. (WKRG News 5)
- Two separate car chases occurred on the same road in Mobile on Wednesday night, according to Mobile Police. Two people fled from officers on Dec. 7 — the first incident involved an unidentified 17-year-old who did not stop for police at East Linwood and Eagle Drive at around 9:11 p.m. Then, at around 9:50 p.m., 19-year-old Jadarius Flott refused to stop for police and was later arrested. - Nelly will be performing a free concert in Mobile as part of Senior Bowl Week 2023. The Senior Bowl recently announced its public events for the week, including the Senior Bowl Summit on Feb. 2 and a parade to kick off Mardi Gras season on Feb. 3. After the parade, rapper Nelly will perform a free show downtown at the Cathedral Square beginning at 8:00 p.m. Click the link to learn about all the scheduled events. (NBC 15 WPMI)

- The Operation Clean Sweep event in Fowl River on Dec. 3 was a success! Volunteers collected the following for proper disposal or recycling: 201 acceptable loads of rubbish, 3,482 pounds of electronic waste, 140 tires, and 22,810 pounds of scrap metal. (Mobile County, Alabama)
