Here are the top three stories in Mobile today:

  1. The Gamers & Geeks Wintercon concluded this Sunday after a vibrant weekend of gaming and fandom. Fans from all across the south assembled at Wintercon to engage in a weekend of bonding, trading, and of course shopping. There was plenty of merchandise to delight fans of all sorts of games and movies, but keeping the season in mind that wasn't all the con had to offer. Wintercon also served up Christmas goods that were great way to nab some last-minute gifts. (Fox 10 News)
  2. It's going to be a wet and stormy week throughout Alabama. It is likely there will be at least several inches of rain across the state, which could cause some flooding. Southwest Alabama has additional concerns coming with the weather. The nasty storms could lead to tornadoes and damaging winds. Officials are advising people to exercise caution. (Google News)
  3. Early Sunday morning, there was a serious accident outside of a popular convenience store. A vehicle crashed into the parking lot of the DIPP Food Mart near Duval Street and Halls Mill Road. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Two male victims were involved in the single-car crash and sustained serious injuries. (WKRG News 5)
