'Hours old' baby surrendered at Montgomery Safe Haven Baby Box (montgomeryadvertiser.com) — A newborn baby boy was safely surrendered at Montgomery Fire Station 10’s Safe Haven Baby Box two weeks ago, according to Montgomery Fire/Rescue. Firefighters and police followed established protocols, the infant was evaluated at Baptist Medical Center South, and officials say this is the second safe surrender here since the box was installed in May.
