Northport's Pink Friday To Promote Local Businesses This Week

NORTHPORT, AL — A local shopping event aimed at boosting small businesses ahead of the Black Friday rush will return to Northport this week with two days of deals, promotions and a chance for shoppers to win cash.

Pink Friday 2025 is set for Nov. 21–22 and will feature a “Shop Small First” campaign that will encourage customers to visit locally owned boutiques, restaurants and specialty shops across the city.

The event is part of a nationwide movement to spotlight small businesses before the traditional holiday shopping weekend.

Shoppers can take part by picking up a Pink Friday Passport card at any participating business, then making purchases at five or more participating locations to “fill” the card.

Organizers said completed passports may be turned in at the last stop by the end of business on Saturday, Nov. 22.

Each completed passport will be entered into a drawing for two $500 cash prizes.

The live drawing is set for Sunday, Nov. 23, at 6 p.m. at Gypsy River Apparel, 80 McFarland Boulevard, Suite 8, and will also be streamed on the Facebook group “PINK FRIDAY 2025 in Northport, Alabama.”
