ALDI's newest grocery store in Northport officially opened Wednesday morning

NORTHPORT, AL — ALDI's newest grocery store in Northport officially opened Wednesday morning and will host a grand opening event Thursday to celebrate.

As Patch previously reported, the discount German grocer announced on its website that it would hold an early opening for newest Northport location on Wednesday before planning its grand opening for Thursday, Jan. 8, in the former location of the Winn-Dixie off of Highway 43.

This marks the third Northport store for ALDI, with the other locations at 5801 McFarland Boulevard and 10 McFarland Boulevard.
The grand-opening ribbon cutting will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, about 30 minutes before the store opens for regular business.

Customers will be able to enter and shop immediately after the ceremony.
To celebrate opening day, the first 200 customers will receive a Golden Ticket, a laminated, numbered card that could be worth up to $100.
No purchase is necessary to receive a ticket and winners will be chosen at random under ALDI’s official rules.
