TUSCALOOSA, AL — Stillman College on Wednesday named Tuscaloosa native and distinguished alumnus Willie E. Williams Jr. as its new choir director.

Stillman says Williams returns to the school with more than 15 years of experience as a choral director, music and theatre educator, vocalist and actor.

A graduate of Stillman College with a bachelor’s degree in vocal music performance, Williams also holds a Master of Fine Arts in acting pedagogy from the University of Alabama.
Williams' interdisciplinary background blends choral conducting, vocal performance and theatre, which has earned him recognition on stages and in classrooms across the region.

Williams has received regional artistic honors and held leadership roles with the Alabama Tourism Association throughout his career and has also served on the faculties of the University of West Alabama and Bishop State Community College.
