TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa City Schools is inviting community members to share their input as it begins the search for a new superintendent.

As Patch previously reported, Superintendent Mike Daria announced earlier this year that he plans to retire in June 2026 and district officials say they want to hear from parents, staff, students, and community stakeholders about what qualities and skills they believe the next leader should have.

The short, anonymous survey is open through Friday, Nov. 21, at 11:59 p.m. and can be accessed online here.

No timetable has been given for when a new superintendent will be announced.
