2. Ted Stevens International Airport poised for $160M cargo expansion in 2026 (alaskasnewssource.com) — Anchorage’s Ted Stevens International Airport is gearing up for nearly $160 million in cargo-related projects expected online by summer 2026, reinforcing its role as a global logistics hub. New FedEx, cold storage, and cargo facilities, plus long-term planning and sustainability work, are projected to support steady cargo growth and local jobs, with one in seven Anchorage residents already working at the airport.
   

3. Owner of Anchorage bike shop gets his stolen bikes back after 7 years sitting in evidence (alaskasnewssource.com) — A longtime Anchorage bike shop owner finally got nine high-end bicycles back from APD evidence more than seven years after they were stolen in a 2018 burglary. The bikes, recovered in an Anchorage storage unit soon after the theft, sat in evidence while court cases dragged on through COVID-related delays. Now back on the sales floor, they’re discounted and under factory warranty.
   

4. Alaskans targeted by scammers posing as government officials, FBI warns (adn.com) — Anchorage’s FBI office is warning residents about scammers posing as law enforcement or government officials and demanding payment, after Alaskans lost over $1.3 million to such schemes last year. Officials urge people to hang up, never pay with cryptocurrency or gift cards, and quickly report suspicious calls to their bank and the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
   

5. ‘They push each other': South's undefeated wrestlers heading into state tournament (adn.com) — South Anchorage High’s boys wrestling team is sending 10 region champions to this weekend’s ASAA state tournament at the Alaska Airlines Center, including three undefeated standouts. Coaches and wrestlers describe how intense in-room competition, alumni support, and a focus on process over pressure have built a powerhouse program heading into state.
