The bikes, recovered in an Anchorage storage unit soon after the theft, sat in evidence while court cases dragged on through COVID-related delays. Now back on the sales floor, they’re discounted and under factory warranty.

Alaskans targeted by scammers posing as government officials, FBI warns (adn.com) — Anchorage’s FBI office is warning residents about scammers posing as law enforcement or government officials and demanding payment, after Alaskans lost over $1.3 million to such schemes last year. Officials urge people to hang up, never pay with cryptocurrency or gift cards, and quickly report suspicious calls to their bank and the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center.
