1 Arrested In Sunday Afternoon Phoenix Shooting

PHOENIX, AZ — A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting near 7th Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix on Sunday afternoon, Phoenix Police said.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries after the shooting, which occurred just before 4 p.m., police said.

The suspect fled the scene in a car, before being involved in a crash near Osborn Road and 16th Street and being taken into custody, according to police.
