1 Dead In McDowell Road Hit-And-Run
A 43-year-old man has died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run crash near McDowell Road and 32nd Street on Sunday night, police said.

PHOENIX, AZ — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in a Phoenix crosswalk on Sunday night, according to Phoenix Police.
The victim was crossing the street just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of McDowell Road and 31st Street when he was struck by an SUV, police said.
The pedestrian, who police identified as a 43-year-old male, died on the scene, while a female pedestrian that was also struck suffered minor injuries, according to police.

The vehicle that struck them was identified as a silver Dodge Nitro SUV, police said. The SUV was going westbound on McDowell Road when the crash occurred.
