1 Dead In Washington Road Crash In Phoenix
A driver has died and a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in an early morning crash at Washington Road and 40th Street.

PHOENIX, AZ — One person is dead and a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in an early morning wreck on Washington Street and 40th Street in Phoenix on Tuesday, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The wreck occurred just after 6:30 a.m., when a Chevrolet Camaro failed to stop and hit the other car, police said.
The driver of the car that was hit was taken to a local hospital where she died, according to police.

The impact of the crash caused one of the cars to spin out of control and hit a pedestrian that was crossing the street, the report said.
The impairment of the driver of the Camaro has not been determined and no charges have been announced as of Tuesday afternoon.
