Woman Charged In North Phoenix Shooting Death

Amelleonna Russell was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of a second woman Wednesday, Phoenix police said.

PHOENIX, AZ — A woman was charged with manslaughter in connection with a north Phoenix shooting death of a second woman on Wednesday afternoon, Phoenix police said.

Dejahnique Jackson, 24, was shot and killed at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at an apartment near West Peoria and West Desert Cave avenues, according to police.

Amellonna Russell was charged with reckless manslaughter in connection with the shooting, police said.
