Body Found Believed To Be Woman Missing For A Month: Phoenix PD
Phoenix police said they found a body near 56th Street and Deer Valley Road believed to be Julie Concialdi, missing for a month.
PHOENIX — The body of a Phoenix woman missing for nearly a month may have finally been found.
While the Maricopa County Medical Examiner will determine the identity, the Phoenix Police Department announced Thursday that they believe it to be 59-year-old Julie Concialdi.
Concialdi was last seen on Sept. 4 around 7 p.m. at her home near 27th Avenue and Dove Valley Road. Police discovered her car later that night, which had been abandoned near 20th Avenue and Monona Drive. The body was found near 56th Street and Deer Valley Road in north Phoenix.

Her husband, Joseph Concialdi, did not report her missing for two days, police said. He was arrested on murder charges Sept. 15.
"On September 15, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m., probable cause was developed from interviews and evidence to make an arrest," Sgt. Mercedes Fortune, a Phoenix police spokesperson, said in a previous statement. "The male suspect is in the booking process for first degree murder."

The area where Concialdi's body was found buried is open desert but not far from residential buildings. No other details, including how detectives were led to the remains, were immediately available.
