Body Of Teen Found On Independence High Campus In Glendale

GLENDALE, AZ — The body of a teenager who was reported missing Sunday night was found on the grounds of Independence High School in Glendale Monday morning, according to Glendale Police.

The 17-year-old was reported missing on Sunday when he did not return home, police said. Police did not publicly identify the teen. Investigators believe that the teen fell to his death from the top of the football field press box, but it's unclear whether the fall was accidental, according to police. They do not believe foul play was involved.

A sanitation worker found the teen's body just before 7 a.m. Monday, near the dumpsters next to the football field, police said.

Classes at Independence High went on as usual Monday, after parents were informed of the situation, according to police.
