Double House Fire In Phoenix: Exploding Propane Tanks, 2 Burned
Two houses caught fire Friday in Phoenix. Two people were burned and firefighters were met with exploding propane tanks.
PHOENIX — Two houses caught fire Friday morning in Phoenix, and multiple people are being treated for burns.
The inferno broke out near North 20th Street and East Sweetwater Avenue, the Phoenix Fire Department tweeted around 9:15 a.m. Friday. Video showed firefighters dousing heavy orange flames and thick black smoke with hose water. A plume of smoke could be seen from miles away.
Firefighters arrived to exploding propane tanks and downed power lines. Two people were hospitalized for smoke inhalation and burns. Both were in stable condition with second-degree burns, the fire department said.
